Man accused of holding woman captive inside Stone Oak home

A San Antonio man is accused of holding a woman captive inside his Stone Oak home.

An officer went to the home of Bishoy Elkaliny on Cliff Park Lane on New Year’s Eve to do a follow up on a theft investigation.

After knocking on the door and getting no response, the officer went back to his patrol car.  As he returned to his patrol car, a woman came out of the house asking for help.

She got into the back seat of the cruiser and explained what was happening to the officer.

The woman’s left eye was swollen shut, with a bright red and purple bruise around her eye.  Her left cheek was scratched and bruised.

Police say the woman told the officer the 30-year-old Elkaliny had thrown her to the ground a couple days prior, hitting her head on the hard concrete or brick object.  She said he had also punched her several times causing the swollen eye.

The woman told the officer that she had not been able to leave the house because of the man’s threatening.  She also said Elkaliny had chained her on two separate occasions.

The woman said the man had sexually assaulted her the day before.

She was taken to the hospital to be treated.

It’s not clear how the victim and Elkaliny knew each other, but she had been staying at the home since October.

The man is facing charges of sexual assault, aggravated assault and burglary of a habitation with intent to commit assault.
