Man arrested for beating another man who was wearing a “MAGA” hat

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A 32 year old man from California has been arrested for assaulting another man who was wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat.

On September 2nd, David Delgado walked into a restroom at a restaurant in Hermosa Beach. He spotted a man wearing a red hat.

The hat actually featured writing that was in a foreign language.

So, Delgado asked the man about it. He told Delgado the writing was in Russian and it translated into President Trump’s slogan.

That’s when Delgado punched the man in the face, knocking him to the ground. Delgado continued to land punches then stole the MAGA hat and ran off.

There was surveillance video and detectives were able to identify Delgado.

He was arrested at his home Tuesday afternoon and charged with suspicion of robbery and battery with serious injury.

Bail was set at $100,000.
