Man dies of self inflicted gunshot wound during a standoff in San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — One man is dead and two people are recovering following a standoff on the far northwest side.

The Bexar County Sheriff’s office says is all started around midnight Saturday.  A man shot another man who is 38 years old and a 39 year old woman.

The shooter then barricaded himself inside the home on Straight Oaks.

A SWAT team surrounded the building and they attempted to negotiate with the shooter for about five hours. When the SWAT team entered at around 6 A.M,  they found that the man had fatally shot himself.

His name has not yet been released.

The man and woman he shot are in critical condition at University Hospital.
