Man Killed in Early Morning Shooting

An early morning shooting leaves a man dead… and a woman facing a murder charge.

“It is our understanding the victim and the suspect were in a dating relationship” said SAPD Officer Douglas Greene, describing what happened at around 1 AM Thursday at a home on West Ansley–near Pleasanton Road.

Greene told KTSA News the woman told officers she accidentally shot her boyfriend, who was found dead inside of the home.

“The suspect was taken in to custody… transported over to the Homicide Office for further interview. At this time, that female is charged with murder” Greene said.
