Man Killed Near Eastside Bus Stop

San Antonio police don’t have much to go on as they investigate the latest murder in the city’s East Side.

A man was found dead early Monday near the entrance to an apartment complex on Dietrich Road near Branch Road.

“The individual had gunshot wounds to the upper body,” said Officer Douglas Greene.

He said the Hispanic male in his late 40’s or early 50’s was found around 5:40 a.m. not far from a bus stop.

“We’re trying to determine if he may have been on his way to the bus stop or coming from the bus stop when he was shot,” said Greene.
