Man, puppy found dead hours after disturbance call, SAPD
SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The San Antonio Police Department is investigating after a man and a puppy were found dead on the far Northwest Side Thursday morning.
It started with a disturbance call around 7 p.m. Wednesday. Police say a man in his 30s had been rolling on the ground drunk, and it was also described as a pepper spraying incident.
Less than 12 hours later, reports of a body found in the same area came in, and officers found the same man and a puppy dead. Investigators say the puppy had been pepper sprayed, but it was unclear if that was the cause of death.
KENS 5 reports the man had tire tracks on his body, and it is possible he had been run over.
Police say the death is suspicious, but it is unknown if the man was killed on purpose or by accident. They are also trying to determine if the death was connected to the events of the night before.
The disturbance took place near Dreamwood Drive and Fountainwood Drive, not far from Nacogdoches Road.
Detectives are interviewing three people, including the owner of the home the man lives in.
This is a developing story and KTSA News will give more details when possible.
