Man shoots at pickup, tries to run, gets caught by Bexar County Deputy

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A Bexar County Deputy has apprehended a man who shot at a family driving through a Southeast side neighborhood.

It was just after 1 A.M. Friday when a man opened fire on a pickup as it made its way down Monticello Court.

The driver was the only one hurt. He took two bullets to the shoulder but managed to drive to the HEB on South New Braunfels where he called for help.

A Bexar County Deputy happened to be in the area. He heard the gunshots then saw the shooter running from the scene.

The deputy used his stun gun to stop the man and took him into custody.

Investigators are still trying to figure out why the man shot at the pickup.
