Man shoots two clerks while robbing a San Antonio convenience store

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Two clerks at a southeast side convenience store were shot when they refused to give money to a man who was robbing the store.

It happened just after 10 P.M Thursday when a man walked into the A – Z Food Mart at 4003 East Southcross. He demanded that the clerks hand over some money. But when they refused, the man started shooting up the store.

A female clerk was shot in the upper torso while the other clerk, a male, was hit in the backside.

A third clerk was not shot. She managed to help her two injured co-workers get to the back of the store, while the shooter ran off.

They’re recovering from their wounds at BAMC. Police continue to search for the man who shot them.
