Man shot by carjacker on San Antonio’s West side

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A man who was filling up the gas tank in his rental truck was shot at a gas station on San Antonio’s West side.

The victim was fueling up at the Star Stop on Culebra Road just before 11 P.M. Sunday when a man walked up and shot him in the shoulder.

The shooter then got behind the wheel of the wounded man’s truck and shot the victim again before speeding away.

But his attempt to flee in the stolen truck ended when he crashed into three other vehicles as he drove down General McMullen.

He then jumped out of the truck and ran away. Police are still looking for him.

None of the drivers in the vehicles he crashed into were hurt.

The man who was shot was taken to University Hospital where he is listed in stable condition.
