Man shot, run over by pickup on San Antonio’s East side

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A man has been run over by a truck after he collapsed in the street while running from whoever shot him.
Police were called to South Pine Street just after 11 P.M. Sunday.
They arrived to find a man with a gunshot wound to the chest in the middle of the street.
Investigators say the man had been shot at a different location and was running away from his shooter when he collapsed.
That’s when a man driving a pickup came along. The driver didn’t see the gunshot victim and ran over him.
He did stop to help.
The victim is in critical condition at Brooke Army Medical Center.
The investigation continues.
