Man wanted for several armed robberies in the San Antonio area arrested

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A 29 year old man wanted in connection with a series of robberies in the San Antonio area is behind bars.

Police had been looking for Samuel Crawford for the past few weeks.

It’s believed he robbed several convenience stores, holding employees at gunpoint as he committed the crimes.

Police used surveillance camera footage as well as descriptions from witnesses to identify Crawford.

He was arrested without incident in Universal City.

SAPD released the following statement when announcing Crawford’s arrest:

“Great job to to everyone who played a part in taking Samuel Crawford into custody: CPB, BCSO, SAPD Fiesta Personnel, The Universal City Police Department and most importantly the citizens of San Antonio led to the apprehension of this violent individual making our streets a little safer.”
