Meals on Wheels San Antonio breaks ground on new facility

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Meals on Wheels San Antonio is breaking ground on a new facility Wednesday.

The nonprofit, which delivers meals to local seniors, added 24-hundred new clients during the pandemic when it expanded its service area to eight more counties.

The new facility on Nacogdoches Road near Loop 410, will help meet the growing demand for help.

Meals on Wheels San Antonio visits more than 4,000 homes in the area two times a week, supplying meals for more than 7,000 people.

The project will cost 19-million-dollars.
