SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — San Antonio’s recently passed Safe and Sick Leave Ordinance has been one of the more controversial issues passed by the City Council.

It requires employers to give employees time off for everything from illness and injury to preventative care.

Metro Health, the city’s public health agency is hoping to answer the many questions residents and business owners have about the ordinance.

They’re holding eight free information sessions that will offer more insight how employers can implement the ordinance before it takes effect on December 1st.

The sessions will take place at the following dates, times and locations:
