Millions could be declared stateless as India appears to be cracking down on Muslims

A crisis is brewing in India after the Hindu majority government launched a campaign to list all legal residents living in the Assam state. Millions of people, mostly Muslims, were left off that list, and they have until August 31st to prove they’re citizens.
