Minivan driver, passenger suspected in possible Shavano Park mail theft

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Shavano Park police are looking for two suspects and the minivan they were in who were looking into mailboxes Sunday afternoon.

Police said officers were sent to the Hunters Branch part of town at around 5:15 p.m. Sunday for a report of a suspicious vehicle pulling up to and looking into mailboxes.

The van is described as a silver mid-2010s Kia Sedona with a broken out back window.

Officers spotted the vehicle on Shavano Drive.  They tried speaking with a Hispanic male and female in the van, but they decided to leave instead.

They pulled north onto Northwest Military Drive toward Loop 1604.

Police chased the van, but the driver began driving erratically.  Officers decided to end their attempts to stop the van.

Police said people in that area may be missing mail and should contact police if they are.
