LAS VEGAS (AP) – Is all forgiven for Morgan Wallen?

After more than a year of being shunned by awards shows after he was caught using a racial slur on camera, Wallen’s “Dangerous: The Double Album” won album of the year at the Academy of Country Music Awards.

Wallen said in his acceptance speech to his son, the award “will signify that his daddy was a fighter.”

Miranda Lambert was named entertainer of the year for the first time, and it’s the first time in 17 years she did not attend the awards.

Lambert is on tour in the UK and accepted by video for “all the singer-songwriter girls out there that are putting their blood, sweat and tears into their guitar strings.”

Carly Pearce won female artist of the year, while Chris Stapleton won male artist.

Old Dominion won best group.

Chris Young, who led the nominations with seven, went home empty-handed.
