Motorcyclist runs red light, hit by suspected drunk driver on San Antonio’s West side

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A motorcyclist is in critical condition and a suspected drunk driver in custody following a crash on San Antonio’s West side.

The woman on the motorcycle had made a u-turn after running a red light at the intersection of Portranco and Clover at around 12:45 A.M. Sunday when she was hit by a man driving a Mazda.

He stopped and waited for help to arrive but police arrested him for suspicion of driving while intoxicated.

The motorcyclist is recovering at University Hospital.
