SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Police in New York City are reporting that several people have been shot at two separate subway stations in Brooklyn.

Initial reports are that the gunfire broke out during the morning rush hour as thousands of commuters crowded around the subway stations.

Early numbers from police in Brooklyn are 13 people were wounded and 5 were shot. That number is expected to change as the story develops.

Some subway riders who witnessed the shooting have told police the shooter was wearing an orange construction vest and what looked like a gas mask.

Police have also located several suspicious devices in the area.

Officers were responding to a call for smoke at the subway station when they found the gunshot victims.

The conditions of those shot haven’t been released and police are still searching for the shooter.

The subway station is located at 36th Street and Fourth Avenue in Sunset Park.
