National Weather Service predicts slight possibility of heavy thunderstorms in San Antonio this week

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — You may have a tough time sleeping the next couple of nights, severe thunderstorms may roll through the area.

The National Weather Service is reporting the possibility of thunderstorms increases throughout the day Monday into Monday night.

Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible to the west of the city this afternoon. There is a slight chance that as they head east, we could see rain, lightning, hail and heavy winds.

NMS says the chance of storms continues through the middle of the week as another round of activity is expected Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday morning.

1 to 3 inches of rain is possible as the systems pass through.

Daytime temperatures will remain in the upper 80’s for the next few days but climb back into the 90’s by Friday.
