NBC to host Trump forum tonight

NEW YORK (AP) – NBC News is facing criticism for its decision to host a town hall featuring President Donald Trump tonight.
The forum is the same night ABC had already scheduled a town hall with Democratic candidate Joe Biden.
What irks critics is that the separate forums were set up once Trump bailed on the second televised presidential debate after it was changed to a virtual forum because Trump had COVID-19.
NBC’s counterprogramming has sparked online calls for a boycott of the network.
Among the top critics are NBC employees. For example, MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow had Biden’s running mate Kamala Harris on her show last night – and asked her if she was “as mad as everybody else” about the Trump town hall.
Harris didn’t say.
