Nearly 4 in 10 young adults are not using deodorant

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Young American adults are less likely to be using deodorant or antiperspirant than their parents’ generation.

A recent survey by YouGov found that nearly 40 percent of American adults between the ages of 18 to 24 have not used deodorant or antiperspirant in the past 30 days.

About 30 percent of adults between the ages of 25 and 34 said the same thing.

The survey found that about 20 percent of adults over the age of 35 have not used deodorant or antiperspirant recently.

Aside from not using the products recently, YouGov found that more than 37 percent of 25- to 34-year-olds and 48 percent of adults between the ages of 18 to 24 have not purchased these products in the past year.

The survey did find that young adults do wash their hair about as often as their parents do.
