“North East police took possession of that weapon. The student was arrested and removed from school,” Chancellor said.

The Bradley Middle School principal sent a letter to parents informing them about the incident.

“We applaud those students who came forward and alerted the school,” said principal Brenda Cerroni. “We are treating this situation with the seriousness it deserves, and we will not tolerate any inappropriate items at our school.”

She asked parents to talk to their children about the importance of reporting “anything they believe is inappropriate.”
