New 6.4 magnitude earthquake hits Turkey’s Hatay province, still reeling after previous massive tremor

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Numerous media outlets are reporting that another earthquake has struck a region of Turkey still trying to recover from a 7.8 magnitude tremor that hit earlier this month.

According to reports, the new quake measured between 6.3 and 6.4 on the moment magnitude scale.

It is not yet known how much additional damage has taken place, and there is no information on casualties at this time.

People in the region are being advised to stay away from the coastline due to the possibility of rising sea levels.
