New app makes it easier to pay for parking in San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Need to pay for parking in downtown San Antonio? There’s an app for that.

It’s called SAPark. The new mobile app can be used to pay for parking at more than 2,500 parking spots.

The days of walking to the pay station, paying for your space then printing out a ticket and walking back to put it on your dashboard are over.

With the SAPark app, you simply download it, set up an account with your payment information and park.

“Parking is often the first experience people have when they come downtown, and we recognize our role in ensuring it is a positive experience,” said John Jacks, Center City Development & Operations Director. “SAPark will provide residents and visitors an easy and innovative way to pay for downtown parking.

It also solves the problem you may run into if you need to extend your parking session. No need to run back to the parking lot, you can do it from the app. Unless you’re in a real boring meeting and you need an excuse to leave.
