New Braunfels High School teacher arrested for having an improper relationship with a student

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A teacher at New Braunfels High School has been arrested for having an improper relationship with a student.

The investigation of the relationship began after 41-year old Bryant Shephard was seen having inappropriate contact with a female student while on campus.

School officials contacted New Braunfels Police Thursday, March 2. Detectives began investigating and obtained a warrant for Shephard’s arrest.

He was located at an address in San Antonio Tuesday afternoon and was brought to the Bexar County Jail with bail set at $250,000.

Shephard will eventually be transported to the Comal County Jail.

The case is still under investigation and it’s possible that Shephard will face additional charges. In the meantime, police are asking anyone who may be, or may know of someone who is a potential victim of Shephard to call the New Braunfels Police Department.
