New East Central ISD elementary school unveiled in Converse

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A new school year is about to be combined with a new school building for some students in the East Central Independent School District.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on Wednesday for Honor Elementary School, which now set to open when school starts August 7.

The ceremony featured remarks from Roland Toscano, Superintendent of Schools, ECISD Board of Trustees members, and school principal Stephanie Orsak.
The elementary school was built with funds from the Bond passed in November 2022, part of a $240 million package that included the construction of new schools to address overcrowding in the District.
East Central ISD is projected to reach 13,215 students by the end of 2025 and 19,689 students by 2032, making it one of the fastest-growing districts in Texas.
The school is at 3580 N Graytown Rd., Converse, TX 78109.
