NIOSA Begins Tuesday

The Rain Rock is up to protect us from bad weather… and Tuesday Night is the first of four for Night in Old San Antonio.

As usual, you can take part in a gourmet delight if you’re there.

“Our new foods are wonderful” NIOSA Chair Patti Zaiontz told KTSA News.

“We have chicken and waffles on a stick… with jalapeno maple syrup… we have a double dill fried dill pickle” Zaiontz said. Both can be found in Main Street.

And there’s more.

“We have funnel fries in Clown Alley… which is funnel cake in the shape of french fires” Zaiontz said, highlighting one of the many new offerings–which for the first time includes craft beer as well.

And while you can certainly purchase your tickets the old fashioned way–there is something new there too.

“You can go to and you can buy your ticket online–and you can download it either to your hand-held device or cell phone” Zaiontz said.
