North Star Mall closing for 24 hours to clean after coronavirus patient visit

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — North Star Mall said it will be closing the whole mall for about 24 hours Monday to do a deep cleaning of the mall after it learned a coronavirus-positive patient visited over the weekend.

The mall said in a social media post it has cleaned the mall several times using CDC-recommended products.

However, it decided to close the mall temporarily to do a deep clean.

The mall stated the patient was not showing symptoms and is considered to be a low risk to the public.  It noted that these precautions are being done to eliminate any possible risks.
