NWS: Flood Watch for areas west and northwest of San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The National Weather Service is issuing a Flood Watch for areas just west and northwest of San Antonio through Tuesday night. These areas include the Rio Grande Plains, southern Edwards Plateau, and portions of the western Hill Country.

On top of the rainfall seen overnight, an additional 2-4 inches will be possible Tuesday.

Showers and thunderstorms will produce heavy rain through the evening in some areas, and you are urged to stay away from running water on any roadway. Only a few inches of moving water can pick up a car and carry it away.

Stay caught up with the latest weather conditions on 550 KTSA and FM 107.1.
