The City of Odessa, TX unveiled a memorial Thursday to a famous native son–American Sniper Chris Kyle.

Doctor Sudip Bose served with Kyle in Iraq.

“This statue is a symbol that we have Chris Kyle and his family’s back.”

Judge Ron Eckert said Chris Kyle will never be forgotten.

“He personified our noblest values and our highest ideals including the love of freedom and the courage to fight for its preservation.”

Senator John Cornyn said in a statement that Chris Kyle was “a hero in every sense of the word.”
