SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) – A San Antonio police officer has been arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
Thirty-eight-year-old Jose Angel Hinojosa was off duty Saturday night when he was pulled over by Bexar County Sheriff’s deputies for allegedly driving the wrong way on South Presa Street .
Hinojosa reportedly refused a field sobriety test and a breathalyzer. Officers obtained a warrant for a blood test and Hinojosa was arrested and charged with DWI.
He’s a 12-year veteran of SAPD assigned to South Side patrol. He’ll be placed on administrative leave, pending the outcome of the investigation.
