SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The official poster for Fiesta 2020 is now available.
The colorful artwork won’t disappoint Fiesta fans with it’s eye catching bright flowers surrounding the Alamo, a rock bridge over the San Antonio River and the wide open Texas landscape with a flaming sunset in the background.
The Fiesta San Antonio Commission unveiled the poster at the Witte Museum Wednesday night. It was created by local artist Caroline Korbell Carrington. She says Fiesta has been a part of her family for generations.
“I’m a landscape painter; not a graphic artist. But I’m thrilled to be selected as the Fiesta poster artist. I’ve been a local artist for a long time so it’s good to have the recognition. I wanted to show the
nature of South Texas as well as the happiness and fun of Fiesta. I wanted the design to be inspirational. I see the flowers and butterflies as symbols of hope and a new day. The colors are the bright and happy colors of Fiesta.”
Copies of the poster, as well as other Fiesta-related merchandise, can be bought online or at the Fiesta store, starting today.
