For years, we heard that it was fictional…or delusional.

But to be celebrating the “patriotism” and “bravery” of General Mark Milley, you are stipulating to it.

What he did was exercise its function, and confirm its existence, and probably confirm that, like an iceberg, there’s a lot more beneath the surface.

It would be funny to imagine Milley’s battalion of defenders confronting a general during the Obama years, who took it upon himself to warn Khadafy, or Pakistan, of ops that weren’t authorized by Congress and that he found troubling or dangerous.
