One body recovered, search continues for second at Lake Travis

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — One person is dead and crews are searching for a second following a water incident on Lake Travis.

Emergency crews were sent to Longhorn Landing Sunday afternoon after receiving reports that a person was struggling in the lake.

Medics were able to recover the body from the water. They attempted CPR but the swimmer was pronounced dead at the scene.

A search for a second swimmer has transitioned to a recovery mode and a third swimmer who was also struggling in the water was treated for non-life threatening injuries at the scene.

Austin-Travis County EMS will provide updates as the search for the missing swimmer continues.
