Passerby pulls crash victim out of burning car

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A Good Samaritan is being credited with rescuing a man from a burning car on the North Side.

At around 2:30 A.M. Monday, a man who was speeding along North Loop 1604 and Lockhill-Selma slammed into a dump truck.

His car burst into the flames and a passerby stopped, pulled the man from the burning vehicle then left the scene before police arrived.

Police say if the other motorist hadn’t stopped, the crash victim would have died in the fire.

While the man is going to recover, he’s facing charges of Driving While Intoxicated.
