Patient trapped inside ambulance after it’s rear ended by a speeding car

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A man was brought to the hospital in an ambulance after he crashed… into an ambulance.

At around 1 A.M. Wednesday, the man was speeding through the intersection of Babcock and Wurzbach. He didn’t stop in time to avoid rear ending the ambulance that was at a stop light.

The man was pinned inside of his vehicle and firefighters had to cut him out of his car.

Once he was out and on his way to the hospital, crews began work cutting his car away from the ambulance because there was a patient inside the emergency vehicle.

The patient and the ambulance driver suffered injuries in the crash and were brought to a hospital.
