Pedestrian struck and killed in far West Bexar County

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a crash that claimed the life of a pedestrian and sent a driver to the hospital.

The call came in at around 12:30 A.M. Tuesday from the area near Portranco and Sundance West.

A man who was walking was struck and killed by a Jeep.

Deputies says it appears the driver did try to avoid hitting the man. They found the Jeep had rolled onto its side in some grass.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver was brought to University Hospital. An update on their condition is not available.
