Pedestrian who was walking in the middle of a street on San Antonio’s Southside is hit by a pickup

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A man is in critical condition after he was struck by a truck on San Antonio’s Southside.

Police had been receiving calls about a man walking down the middle of the Loop 410 access road near Roosevelt.

Then at around 3:30 A.M. Tuesday came the call that the man had been hit.

The driver of a pickup didn’t see the man until it was too late to avoid hitting him.

Police say the driver isn’t expected to be charged.

The exit onto Roosevelt Avenue from Loop 410 had to be closed down while police investigated.
