SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — San Antonio police are searching for a man who shot his wife early Thursday.

Sgt. Michelle Ramos says they were called to the home in the 400 block of Randall just after 2:30 AM.

When officers arrived they found the woman with a gunshot wound to her head. She was brought to University Hospital and is expected to recover.

They believed her husband, 27 year old Horbelio Pichinte was the one who shot her and had barricaded himself  in the house.

After trying to communicate with the man the SWAT Team was brought in.  They entered the home several hours later and discovered Pichinte was gone.

Ramos says it’s not the first time they’ve been called to the home to handle a domestic disturbance and they are actively searching for Pichinte.  If you know where he is, contact San Antonio Police.
