Police investigate shootout at a San Antonio cemetery

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Police are investigating a shootout that took place at a Southwest side cemetery.

It was just before 4 P.M. Monday when several people were gathered at San Fernando Cemetery 3 on Cupples Road. They were attending a one year memorial for the death of a loved one when an argument broke out between two groups of people.

But it quickly escalated when some of the people involved pulled out their guns and started shooting.

There was a brief gunfight in which several parked vehicles were hit but police say nobody was hurt in the chaos.

The shooters quickly fled the cemetery and the search for them continues.
