Porch pirate wanted in Round Rock heist

SAN ANTONIO (Texas News Radio) — There’s a porch pirate on the loose in the Round Rock area and investigators need your help finding him.

The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office said a man was caught on video last Wednesday night taking delivery packages from a porch of a home off of FM 620 in Round Rock.

The man took several boxes of various sizes and put them into a small light-colored four-door vehicle.

Investigators believe there are at least two more suspects involved in the case and they are believed to have ties to the San Antonio area.

Since September 1st, stealing packages or other mail from people’s doorsteps of mailboxes is a state felony punishable with jail time and fines ranging from $4,000 to $10,000.
