Portion of Loop 1604 closed due to 18-wheeler accident

Update: The roadway reopened around 9 p.m.

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office has closed a portion of West Loop 1604 because of an accident involving two 18-wheelers.

Officials said all southbound lanes from W Loop 1604 N and Potranco to W Loop 1604 S and Marbach Rd. are shut off.

Traffic is currently being re-routed to the West Military Drive exit and officials ask motorists to avoid the area if possible.
