SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The treasure trove that is Prince’s music vaults continues to provide pure gold for fans.

The late musician’s estate has released an acoustic demo recording of “I Feel For You”, a song that appeared on his 1979 self titled album.

That’s the one with a picture of him riding a unicorn in the nude on the back of the album cover.

The Prince Estate partnered with Warner Records for the release that is now available on streaming services and on a limited edition 7″ vinyl. (We used to call them 45’s.)

The demo features Prince singing in falsetto and accompanying himself on acoustic guitar.

Prince’s version of the song was never a hit but Chaka Khan recorded it in 1984 and her version ended up in the top 10. It also earned Prince a Grammy Award for Best R&B Song.

Prince passed away on April 21, 2016 at his home in Chanhassen, Minnesota.
