Probe continues into cache of weapons found near All-Star Game

DENVER (AP) – Four people have been arrested and more than a dozen weapons and hundreds of rounds of ammunition were seized at a Denver hotel near events planned in conjunction with the Major League Baseball All-Star Game.

Officers responding to a tip searched two rooms at the Maven Hotel, a block from Coors Field, on Friday night. Three men and a woman in their 40s were arrested. Police also say two vehicles were impounded to be searched for evidence.

A law enforcement official tells The Associated Press the weapons included several rifles.

So far, investigators have found no evidence to suggest the group was plotting a mass shooting or other similar attack.

But the law enforcement official who spoke with the AP cautions that the investigation is still in its early stages.
