Rat out your neighbor’s illegal fireworks display this Independence Day

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The San Antonio Fire Department is again out with its Fireworks Hotline for Independence Day.

You are being asked to call the hotline at 210-207-0202 if you see anyone in the city illegally using fireworks.

All fireworks use, unless otherwise permitted, inside San Antonio city limits is banned and is punishable by a fine of up to $2,000.  It is also illegal to use fireworks inside most Texas cities.

The hotline will be available from 7 p.m. to midnight Thursday.

The fire department encourages anyone looking for some aerial snap, sizzle and pop to check out a commercially-produced fireworks show.
