Record 2015 for S.A. Housing Market

You can officially call 2015 a record-breaking year for the San Antonio housing market.

“Over 27-thousand total homes (sold)… 9% increase over the previous year” said San Antonio Board of Realtors Chair Bob Jacobs, who told KTSA News average and median prices also climbed nicely in 2015.

“Which can be led back to the strong job formation in San Antonio, and a nice, healthy economy here in town” Jacobs said, still convinced those who haven’t made a move just yet haven’t missed the “house” boat.

“We’ve had a slight uptick in interest rates–but they’re still at historic lows–less than 3 1/2 to 4% in general” Jacobs said, adding “The appreciation (in prices) is not exorbitant compared to other parts of the State and the Country–that’s for sure.”
