Record-breaking continues over Labor Day at San Antonio International Airport

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Flying out of town for the long weekend?

If so, be ready for large crowds at San Antonio International Airport.

Airport officials say they’re expecting a record number of passengers flying in and out though Monday.

The anticipated numbers exceed those from previous years, including last years 153,052 passengers.

The airport says they’re predicting the busiest travel day will be Sunday when more than 44,000 are expected to go through the terminals.

Director of Airports, City of San Antonio Aviation Department Jesus Saenz says:

“If you are flying out, please arrive at least two hours before your boarding time for domestic flights and at least three hours before international flights. We are so happy to see more travelers than ever choosing to fly from SAT, and we want you to have the best experience possible. Last month, we surpassed one million passengers in July alone. It was our second time breaking one million in one month. And we’re still on our record-breaking monthly streak since May 2023.”

By the end of the Labor Day weekend, 173,358 passengers are expected to have arrived or departed San Antonio International.
