Reimagining of the Alamo Taking Shape

The re-imagining of the Alamo continues.

“As we try to understand what happened over three-hundred years of history, how much the site has changed, what is historic fabric, what is not” said Researcher George Skarameas, showing off what has been learned so far, after six month of research.

“We’re working on producing concepts. If everything goes according  to schedule, we’ll have our first round of sketches in about a month” Skarameas told KTSA News.

That means the first “reimagine” plan for the Alamo could be ready around December 1st.

“People from all over the globe are coming to see the Alamo, so, we must do a superb job, and make sure what we have in place will meet the highest standard of planning, design and conservation” Skarameas said.
