Report: Floresville ISD counselor accused of striking child arrested

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A counselor at a local school district has been arrested on accusations that she struck a child.
KSAT-12 reports Heather Marie Dubose, who is a counselor at the Floresville Independent School District, was arrested Thursday of last week.
She’s accused of striking a child, younger than 14, with a cup or a pen holder in May of 2021. She was indicted by a Comal County Grand Jury earlier this year.
The 50-year-old was booked into the Wilson County Jail Thursday with bond set at $5,000. She was released the next day.
The child she’s accused of striking was not a student in the district.
The school district tells KSAT that Dubose is still employed with them and any action they take will be as a result of the investigation.
