Report: Horse found wandering through San Antonio neighborhood is back with owner

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A resident on San Antonio’s Northwest Side saw something a little unusual while out for a walk Friday morning.

She tells KENS 5 that while out for a stroll, she spotted horse droppings in the street.

Not totally out of the ordinary for Texas but not something she had ever seen in her Prue Road neighborhood.

While chatting with some neighbors, they could hear would sounded like a horse trotting on the pavement and sure enough, it was.

They called for help and police were soon on the scene along with the horse’s owner who was able to load it onto a trailer and bring it back home.

Police say the horse was able to get free because some gates on Prue Road were left open for a short time while construction crews did some work.
